| Management Team The management team is led by a group of college educated CCIE's with significant business skills and a combined 32 years in the computer networking industry. The CEO is currently attending MIT's prestigious MBA program. Instructors John Kaberna is a dual Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert, CCIE #7146 (Routing/Switching and Security). John also holds the CCNP, CCDP, and CCSP certifications. He is the President and principal consultant for Network Consultants Group, Inc. based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has more than 10 years experience in Cisco networking and security including planning, designing, implementing, and troubleshooting large multiprotocol networks. John is currently designing and implementing a security management solution for one of the world’s largest financial institutions. John graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Legal Studies. He is currently teaching the CCIE Security Lab Bootcamp. Kwame Gordon (CCIE#8100) is the principle Voice Architect for NETCGINC, an IPTelephony and Security solutions firm in the Bay Area of California. Although his current area of expertise is designing converged voice and data networks he has also worked on many large scale routed, switched and security networks during his 7 years in the industry. He has recently worked on many large scale projects including a 300 office WAN re-design, a 500-seat IPTelephony project and a large E-commerce backbone implementation . He has designed networks for large companies spanning the retail, medical, real-estate,educational and food- services industries. As NETCG also offers CCIE Voice and CCIE Security training curriculum, his other responsibility is that of CCIE Voice instructor. Authors Richard Doty is a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert, CCIE #10875 (Routing/Switching and Security). Rich also holds the CCNP, CCDP, and MCSE certifications. While Rich's core abilities are focused around communications, he maintains knowledge in the surrounding associated areas including: UNIX/Linux administration, network management, best practices/standardization, and documentation. His customer background spans several verticals including members of the enterprise, service provider, educational, and investment communities. Rich is currently working for a global solutions provider, architecting and implementing network solutions for Fortune 1000 companies. Rich graduated from Allegheny College with a B.S. in Computer Science. Erik Freeland is a dual Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert, CCIE #6854 (Routing/Switching and Security). Erik is an independent network consultant specializing in network security. He began networking computers when NetWare 2.2 was popular and NT meant Northern Telecom. He also coauthored the Designing Cisco Networks book published by McGraw-Hill. Ian Forde is a Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator, a Sun Certified Network Administrator, and a Red Hat Certified Engineer. He also holds the Sun Certified Data Management Engineer certification. Ian has over 10 years experience in UNIX architecture and administration, encompassing small sites, large sites, and multinational corporate infrastructures. Lidiya White is a double CCIE #8155 (Routing & Switching and Security), CCNP, CSS1 and CISSP. She is a Senior Network Engineer and specializes in the design, implementation and troubleshooting of complex networks. Lidiya has over 5 years of experience with Cisco products, including 3 years of experience working as a Cisco TAC engineer, where she provided extensive customer support for multiple national and international customers. She installed and provided troubleshooting for numerous routing protocols and security policies over complex customer topologies in commercial and federal sectors. Lidiya holds a technical degree from Sevastopol Polytechnic College in Ukraine. |
